Tailgate party held in the volunteer parking lot on October 3, 2009 at the Michael DeBakey Medical Center in Houston, TX.
1400 meals served. Our heroes had a choice of fried fish, fajitas, grilled chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixin's finished off with cookies and ice cream.

DaBBQ at DeGeorge
November 7, 2009
On November 7, 2009 our veterans who reside at the DeGeorge Hotel were honored with a lunch of grilled ribeye steaks, baked potatoes and award winning cheesy string beans. The whole meal was finished off with an amazing cobbler served with a huge scoop of ice cream. The afternoon was a great time for sharing stories and gifts.
A big thank you to the Tailgate volunteers and the sponsors who made this event possible. A special thanks to the Taste of Texas for sending out their best steaks and expert chefs.

November 22, 2009 - Methodist Youth Fellowship Mission
The Tailgate Crew joined the youth from Mission Bend United Methodist Church to share winter supplies and other necessary items for the homeless in Downtown Houston. The event was hosted from the DeGeorge Veterans Home. The Tailgate crew prepared a lunch of homemade chili, frito pies and hotdogs for the veterans who reside at the DeGeorge.
