Navy Picnic / Family Day on at First United Methodist Westchase

I wanted to pass along a little information on the Navy Picnic/Family Day we cooked on Saturday, June 25th at Quillian Center/First United Methodist Westchase.   We had around 40 volunteers in three separate cooking groups plus water service and cookies for dessert.  As usual, Roger Douglas and his friends from First Baptist of Navasota were on hand to cook a fish fry, Ray Condron from Mission Bend United Methodist and friends served up bbq chicken and sausage, and my co-workers from Costello, Inc, were flipping the burgers and grilling hot dogs.  Houston Sunrise Kiwanis Club funded and handled the water bottles.

The Navy told me they had about 420 sailors and their families present.  They thanked us profusely and gifted us with a plaque and some of their caps.
